For the busy individual who needs to receive information quickly, I believe graphics are an effective form of communication. I created several graphics that effectively communicate different important messages. I choose graphics that I designed for different purposes for different organizations.
One of my roles as Digital Media Director was to collaborate with the Public Relations Director to create the annual report. The annual report, or The PRogram, is an overview of events from the year for Public Relations Students Society of America at LSU.
For the layout of the report, I used InDesign from the Adobe Creative Suite. I chose to use InDesign for the majority of the report because InDesign produces high quality documents. InDesign allows designers to create a layout that is evenly aligned and balanced. I also used Photoshop to create the graphics on the "Highlights of Fall 2016" and "Highlight of Spring 2017" pages. When I created the report I choose purple and gold as the primary colors for the report. The colors for the organization are purple and gold. I wanted to use colors that represent PRSSA at LSU and were complementary to each other. I included the "Speaker Overview," "Highlights of Fall 2016," and "Highlights of Spring 2017" pages from the annual report. These are pages that I created copy for and designed. |

When I began my internship with the Environment and Health Council of Louisiana one of my first priorities was to redesign the logo. The previous logo was hard to read in different formats. I created sample logos that were easy to read in color and black and white. Ultimately, the Council choose Sample 1 for the logo. Out of the three samples, Sample 1 was the most similar to the original logo. Sample 1 clarified and refined this logo.

Sample 3 is a compressed version of Sample 2. The letters are on the outside of the outline of the state, and the letters are stacked like in Sample 1. The logo is stacked, so this sample works well for the website and social media. Sample 3 also works well for letterheads because of the clarity of the logo.
